Ok, so I realize that The Rock and Shop was a week ago and I have not yet posted my review. Let's just say it has been a busy week involving several hundred miles of driving and close to 10 house guests...but I have finally found the camera cord and now I am ready to roll!
In a nutshell, the show was great fun! My friend, Morgan (you know, the PTA one I told y'all about? The one who called me "art slave" and made me paint all of those apples?) was nice enough to agree to come with (there was a little bribery involved) and spend a whole Saturday with me in a bar eating, drinking and hawking wares (which holy cow she is good at!) We made a day of it for sure- red bulls, cheese fries and all! In fact, the vendors across from us thanked us for the entertainment after the show (which, we're still not sure was a compliment...)
Anyway, the sales were better-than-expected, the people were great, the feedback was priceless, the music was fun and the food was yummy. The highlight of the show was definitely when the bass player for the headliner bought one of my guitar straps and then wore it onstage! Very cool. All in all, a very good time. And as a bonus, I have enough stuff left over to finally open my Etsy shop. Which, of course, I haven't done yet but y'all will be the first to know.
